Sandy

Ok. So i did not know about this post so I'll just write it now. 
Hurricane Sandy in my opinion was one disaster that struck the New York metropolitan area greater than expected. Thanks to Father and Mother that i was fortunate enough to only have lost power for seven days, others still do not have power and their homes are completely destroyed. So far World Mission Society Church of God has been able to help with a lot of the aftermath of Sandy in places where it was most affected. I was even able to see how mentally overwhelmed they were. When we went to Toms River to help clean, my mission was to serve people home cooked warm meals or beverages. This completely broke my heart. There were so many elderly people living in this area that were receiving no help, not even from their town, and when they came to eat the food some even cried because all they were able to eat before was canned foods or fast food. Something as small as food helped heal the hearts of the people in Toms River. For me, it helped me realize how ill prepared I am for the last days physically and spiritually. This hurricane is nothing compared to what God prophesied about. And I'm so thankful for the Seal of God, Passover! 

Persepolis

1. The Book follows young Marji through her young years as an outspoken, defiant young girl in the face of extreme governmental censorship and persecution which highlighted the importance if the Islamic Revolution. She explains that "the Revolution is like a bicycle. When the wheels don't turn, it falls...and so went the Revolution in my country." (Satrapi 10). The chaotic scene offers a precise image of the disorganization and ultimate disaster of the Revolution. Through the use of black and white images and poignant commentary, the reader actually sees the young girl's family through a much deeper level. The unstable nature of the era is reflected in Satrapi's depiction of her young self. For Persepolis II, I can expect Marjane to have the same comical tone, as well educational events. 

2. There is a reason as to why there exists such a transition from childhood to adult hood. Marjane was unfortunate to have passed that bridge because her life expected from her to already be mature. I feel that her being exposed to such a distinct way of living harmed her as an individual because no little girl can possibly recover from great traumatic sights the way Marjane experienced. the correct information children should be obtaining are toys and kid parties, not about war and politics. The only way to help avoid any child from absorbing this type of information is simply condensing they're knowledge for the time suited. If a girl doesn't know yet what war is, why expose it and confuse her mind. It's best to wait until his or her maturity increases to a certain level.

Welcome to my blog you guys!!So im super excited to use this through out the  because once you get accustomed to it, it becomes really fun! :) Can't wait to get to know all of you !! 

Summer Plans!! ;)

Soo this summer I plan on suiting up for the beach and soaking up the sun!!:D also i want to go to Cali to visit my dad <3 ummmm..y pa pasarla bien ñaño!!!!:p

HSPA!!

So..the most stressful test of the year was apparently so easy!!! I'm just glad its over! 
1. i did not eat breakfast
2. i didn't sleep early 
3. and i was not prepared 
soooo lets hope i passed :D

Midterms!!

Yikes! failed my algebra midterm :o not surprised though...i do horrible in that class plus i never study :p
the rest was cool im just glad its finally over! WooHoo

Happy 2012

So its a new year full of exciting events coming up! well my plan is to go to Korea some time in this year for a few weeks and enjoy the time with my amazing family(:
im going to start driving very soon so make sure to clear the roads lol
I really want to make the best of this year and accomplish everything that i have to!
